A Companion Horse is Never a Waste

A few weeks ago I was finally able to get out to see Champ; it’d been about 6 weeks, the longest I’ve ever gone without at least visiting him.

He was pretty happy to see me, heading for the gate while I was still 100 yards away. He was happy to stand and enjoy the spa treatment my curry comb and brush gave him. Eyes half closed, lips quivering every time I scratched his poll.

He was NOT however, impressed when I snuck the dewormer into his mouth. Continue reading
